David Rossier comes from a family of winegrowers. Remaining true to his roots, he studied agriculture at the Valais School of Agriculture in Châteauneuf, then oenology at the School of Viticulture and Oenology at Changins (VD). In 1999, he took over the vineyard of André Bonvin, whose father Henri had made a significant contribution to the revaluation of certain Valais specialities, in particular the Humagne grape variety.

David Rossier now cultivates six hectares in Leytron and the neighbouring communities of Chamoson and Saillon. Each grape variety is vinified separately, though some are blended to create a wine that is totally different in character from the pure variety. The wide range of wines brings the Valais specialities to the fore through a vinification process that underlines the distinct character of the grape varieties. As a true artisan, David Rossier has a feel for the authentic and a passion for a job well done. A man of few words, he prefers to let his wines speak for themselves.
