Since 1981, Daniel has worked on his estate with passion and conviction to honour the fruits of its terroir. In 2007, Mikaël joined the family business after obtaining his diplomas in winemaking and oenology. Working together and sharing their knowledge in the pursuit of a common ideal has been an enriching experience. Today, after ten years of collaboration, the estate has made great strides. The use of synthetic products in the vineyard has been abandoned in favour of organic solutions that respect the environment and are gentler on the winegrower and healthier for the consumer. This new approach will translate into a certification for the vineyard in the coming years. The wines themselves have also made progress. The quest for balanced white wines continues apace, and they have now acquired a drier taste. The components of the red wines have improved, too. Since the elimination of chemical fertilizers some ten years ago, the weight of the grapes has diminished and the wines have become more intense. Because Daniel and Mikaël enjoy wines with character, they keep their winemaking process as non-invasive as possible. The aim is for the wines to express their native terroirs, and for the various blends to be a conduit for the emotions. Daniel and Mikaël’s love for their work is clear to see, and there is no doubt that they will continue in this shared passion for many years to come.
